Dr. Ravindra Nanda
Dr. Ravindra Nanda is Professor Emeritus, Former UConn Alumni Endowed Chair and Head of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Division of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut, Farmington, Connecticut, U.S.A.
He received his dental and orthodontic training first at Lucknow, India and then from Nymegen, The Netherlands and the University of Connecticut. He also received a Ph.D. from the University of Nymegen. He was an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Loyola University, Illinois from 1970 to 1972 and since 1972 he has been associated with the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Nanda has been active in orthodontic research in the area of biomechanics, clinical trials and acceleration of orthodontic treatment. He has authored with his colleagues more than 300 scientific papers. He is Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Orthodontics. He is also an associate editor of Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
He is an active member of various organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society and Edward H. Angle Society. Dr. Nanda is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has given numerous named lectures at national and international societies including Mershon and Angle Heritage Lectures at the American Association of Orthodontics and Sheldon Friel Lecture at 2011 EOS Congress. He has been recognized with various awards from numerous international orthodontic organizations. He was also made coveted Honorary Fellow of WFO.
Dr.Nanda has authored and co-authored eight text books Retention and Stability (with Dr. Burstone), Biomechanics in Clinical Orthodontics , Biomechanic and Esthetic Strategies In Clinical Orthodontics, Temporary Anchorage Devices in Orthodontics (with Dr. Uribe), Current Therapy in Orthodontics(with Dr. Kapila), Esthetics and Biomechanics in Orthodontics, and recently “ Orthodontics, two volumes “ (with Prof. Farronato), and Atlas of Complex Orthodontics (with Dr. Uribe). He has two new books coming out in 2019, Temporary Anchorage Devices (with Drs. Uribe and Yadav) and Principles and Biomechanics of Aligner Orthodontic Treatment (with Castroflorio, Garino and Ojima).

MUDr. Jan Streblov
After graduation in 2003 he worked at the Prague Centre of Dental Implantology. In 2010 he co-founded
with Dr. Tomeček the 3DK Dental Clinic. Since 2009 he has been a holder of the Certificate of the Czech Society for Periodontology, in 2010 he successfully completed the Curriculum of Implantology – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Implantologie.
He is mainly involved in periodontology, implantology and complex restorations. As a long-standing member of the Czech Academy of Dental Aesthetics and its former president, he is involved in the development of interdisciplinary cooperation with orthodontists and other specialists.
He has translated several professional books, is the author of publications and many lectures and courses on periodontology, implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, tooth autotransplantation and others. He has lectured at conferences in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland.
doc. MUDr. Magdalena Koťová, Ph.D.
MD Magdalena Koťová graduated from the FVL UK in Prague in 1977, then worked for 10 years as a pediatric dentist at the pediatric and orthodontic department of the OÚNZ Prague 9 and for another 9 years as a specialist assistant at the orthodontic department II. stomatological clinic VFN and 1st Faculty of Medicine UK Prague. In 2004, she defended her doctoral dissertation focusing on the morphology of the palate (Ph.D.).
Since 2005, he has been leading the department for the treatment of cleft defects.
She has published four professional monographs, the last one focused on the orthodontic treatment of patients with clefts. She also submitted a habilitation thesis on this topic in 2023. She is a member of the CSK and works on its honorary council and as a lecturer of professional chamber courses, the Czech Orthodontic Society, in which she served on the committee for many years, she is a member of the accreditation commission of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for the field of orthodontics.

Dr. Camilla Molinari
Graduated at the University of Ferrara in 2008, Dr. Molinari received her postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics in 2012. She attended specialization courses in oral and perioral aesthetics earning a Level II Master’s degree at the University of Parma. She has also attended advanced courses in direct and indirect restorative dentistry conducted by Dr. Ferraris.
She collaborates in publishing texts and scientific articles. International Speaker at courses and congresses, she is an active member of SIED (Italian Society of Dental Aesthetics), POIESIS, AIDOR. She is also a certified DSD Member, an Invisalign® Diamond provider, a Tutor of Dr. Ezio Costa’s Academy and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Padua for interceptive Orthodontics.
Doc. MUDr. Martin Starosta, Ph.D.
Dr. Martin Starosta graduated from the University of Olomouc, in 1997 he completed his education in the field of Periodontology by passing the certification exam. In 2014, he defended his habilitation thesis on the topic Regeneration of the periodontium. He worked for a long time at the periodontology department of the Stomatological Clinic in Olomouc, the dental clinic 1LF UK in Prague and is now the head physician of the Dental Clinic in Ostrava. He is also the vice-dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Ostrava Faculty of Medicine. He is the author of more than 60 professional articles in peer-reviewed journals, the monograph Plastic surgery of the periodontium and actively lectures in the country and abroad.
Ing. Bc. Daniel Stach
Daniel Stach is a journalist, science communicator, television professional, and the host of prime time science programme “Hyde Park Civilization“ and member of Science Department of Czech TV. Daniel has delivered special broadcasts on critical current event topics like the COVID pandemic or the war in Ukraine. He has also interviewed countless distinguished guests, including 42 Nobel Prize laureates, and did an interview with astronaut aboard the International Space Station.
He has earned recognition from the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Learned Society of the Czech Republic. He also received a Silver medal from the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic specifically „for his ability to enthuse and simply convey the complex“. In addition, a minor planet – 93256 Stach – is named in his honour.
Daniel teaches at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University. He is a long-time kayaker, runner and snowboarder who enjoys reading fantasy and scifi. He is married, has a son and a daughter, and the whole family is lucky enough to have their cat – Mr. Rozarka – let them stay with him.

MDDr. Jiří Hálek
Dr. Halek graduated at Masaryk University in Brno in 2011. He completed his postgraduate orthodontic training at the University Hospital in Pilsen. In 2015 he opened his own orthodontic practice in Strakonice. In his practice he focuses on digital planning, skeletal anchoring and the production of appliances by 3D printing.
MUDr. Jiří Baumruk
He completed his studies of dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry in Pilsen in 1999. He continued his practice in a private practice in Písek focused on periodontology and implantology with postgraduate studies in orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, which he completed in 2005 by passing the certification exam.
After the attestation he worked at the orthodontic department of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in Pilsen until 2008. Then he founded a private practice B-Orto s.r.o., where he is the leading doctor and operator. At the same time he worked for several years in the private practice PetrOrtho. Since 2015 he has been employed part-time as an assistant professor at the Orthodontic Department of the Dental Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Dentistry in Prague.
In 2013, he was the president of the ČOS congress focused on aligner treatment and interdisciplinary cooperation with surgeons and periodontists.
He has completed several internships in the Czech Republic, Italy and Austria.
He is the author of many lectures and co-author of scientific publications on interprofessional cooperation, tooth agenesis and retention, the use of skeletal anchorage, maxillary expansion and cooperation between orthodontist and general dentist.
MUDr. Marek Pokorný
In 2003 he completed his studies in Dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Pilsen, which he interrupted between 2000 and 2001 with a study stay in the USA in Denver. In 2003 and 2009 he worked at the SmileDental dental clinic. In 2009 he founded his own practice Complexdental. He is a participant of many domestic and international courses. He is involved in interdisciplinary collaboration with orthodontics, focusing on total restorations, surgery and periodontics. He regularly lectures in the Czech Republic.
MUDr. Ivo Marek, Phd.
Graduated with a degree in Dentistry from the Faculty of Medicine at Palacky University in Olomouc in 1990. He completed a three-year training program for Orthodontics in 1999 and finished his postgraduate study of Orthodontics at the Orthodontic Department of Dental School at Palacky University in Olomouc in 2007, where he earned his PhD. Dr. Marek runs his Private Dental Clinic in Breclav, where he focuses on interdisciplinary dental care, tooth autotranplantation and collaboration of orthodontists with periodontists and implantologists.
Dr. Marek works as an Assistent Professor at the Orthodontic Department of Dental School, Palacky University, in Olomouc, in both graduate and postgraduate study programs. In addition, he is a part-time teacher at Charles University’s Faculty of Medicine, in Prague.
He has published more than 70 articles and has given over 270 lectures in the Czech Republic and abroad (Poland, U.S.A, Taiwan, Singapure, Holland, England, Slovakia, Italia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Australia, Malta, etc…).
Dr. Marek is President of the Czech Orthodontic Society, member of the European Orthodontic Society, the American Associon of Orthodontists, the World Orthodontic Society and European Aligner Society. He is Honorary Member of the Implantology Club of Czech Republic and Polish Orthodontic Society. Furthermore, he is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Ortodoncie” (Orthodontics) and reviewer of the journal “Ortodoncie” and The Angle Orthodontist, European Journal of Orthodontics and Journal of Aligner Orthodontics. MUDr. Ladislav Gregor, Dr.Med.Dent., Ph.D.
In 2005, he graduated from Masaryk University in Brno, and subsequently worked as an assistant at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics, FNuSA in Brno (2005-2007), and as an assistant professor at the Department of Cariology and Endodontics Dentistry, School of Dentistry, University of Geneva, Switzerland (2007-2014). Since 2007 he has also been working in the private practice Sorriso Dental Clinic Brno. In 2016, he defended his Ph.D. degree (Dr. Med. Dent.) at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), and in 2017 he also defended his Ph.D. degree at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA) in Amsterdam (Netherlands), i.e. at universities that are among the top 30 in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2022 (2. Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam the Netherlands, 30th University of Geneva), has 10 impacted publications on adhesive dentistry and 250 citations in articles with IF. MUDr. et MDDr. Jiří Genčur
MUDr. MDDr. Jiří Genčur (*1985) graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Charles University in Pilsen in 2012 and completed his studies in dentistry at the same faculty in 2013. Since 2013, he has been employed as a doctor at the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial, and Facial Surgery of the Dental Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of Charles University in Pilsen, where he still works. He mainly deals with endoscopic methods, orthodontic and orthognathic surgery. In 2019, he passed the certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery; from 2020 he was employed as an assistant professor, and from April 2023, he is the head of the Dental Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of Charles University in Pilsen. He is the author and co-author of several scientific communications and lectures. He is a member of the AO Foundation – AOCMF and the Czech Medical Society JEP.
MDDr. Matěj Bernát
Matěj Bernát (* August 15, 1995 Bystřice pod Hostýnem) is a Czech mountaineer, skier, ski mountaineer, trail runner, and dentist who was the first Czech and the third youngest man to complete the 82×4000 project (by crossing the Peuterey Intégrale). This means that he climbed all eighty-two Alpine 4,000-meter peaks. He has also become known in the mountaineering world for completing the iconic winter crossing of Vladimir “Gypsi” Tatarka. He climbed 50 km and 6000 vertical metres in 16 hours and 25 minutes, shortening the original record time by 4 hours.
This year, he made a successful first ascent of the west wall in alpine style to the almost 7,000m Himalayan peak Sura Peak (6764) with Mara Holecek. The climbers named the route Simply Beautiful. The portal explorersweb.com ranked this climb among the top 10 expeditions of 2023, and an original half-hour film was made about the expedition.
Matěj, among other things, runs one extreme endurance race after another, is in the Tatras every weekend, co-founded the Mountain Squat sports shop with his brother, and is currently setting up his own dental clinic. He does most of his adventures solo, in one go, with as little equipment as possible. As he puts it, “Less stuff, less problems.”

Mgr. Kateřina Valíková
I have been doing physiotherapy for more than 10 years. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno and my master’s degree at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava in Ostrava.
After school I worked at the Rehabilitation Department of the Masaryk Cancer Institute. Since 2017 I have been working in private practice. I focus on problems of the entire musculoskeletal system, including therapy of the temporomandibular joint.
I took my first course on the subject with Mgr. Filip Mareš, then another one in Groofy.
MUDr. Martina Fraňová
Martina Fraňová graduated in 2018 from the Jessenius Medical Faculty of Comenius University in Martin. Since 2023, she has been working at the Centre of Dental Implantology, where she is engaged in aesthetic dentistry, fixed prosthetics, non-invasive corrections in dermal aesthetics. He is a member of the Czech Academy of Dental Aesthetics (ČADE) and ITI. She has completed courses focusing on applying botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid.
MUDr. Wanda Urbanová, Ph.D.
DMD Wanda Urbanová PhD works as an orthodontist at the Department of Stomatology, 3rd MF Charles University and University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady, which is part of the Prague Cleft Center. She dedicates her professional life to orthodontic therapy of patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial syndromes and teaching doctors in preparation for specialty certification, and is also the supervisor of the Dental Hygiene study program at the 3rd MF Charles University. Her main areas of interest are facial cleft defects and Williams-Beuren syndrome.
MDDr. Martin Šrubař
He graduated in dentistry at Palacký University in Olomouc, and completed his postgraduate orthodontic training at the Motol Hospital in Prague with certification in 2015. Subsequently, he opened his own practice in Valašské Meziříčí, where he focuses on the digital concept of orthodontics and modern procedures.
MUDr. Radmila Novozámská
In 1995 she graduated from the 1st Faculty of Dentistry Charles University in Prague.
After graduation, she worked for two years in a private dental practice in Prague, then from 1997 to 2006 at the dental clinic of the 1st Faculty of Dentistry of Charles University in Prague in the children’s department. Since 2006 she has worked in the dental practice Radno, which primarily specializes in treating uncooperative pediatric patients.
In 1997, she passed the 1st attestation in dentistry and holds the Certificate of the Czech Society of General Dentistry, since 2019 she has held the certificate of the Czech Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
MUDr. Kristína Filipi, Ph.D.
She graduated from Masaryk University in Brno in 2005. She completed her postgraduate studies in 2011 also at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. She worked as an assistant professor at the MU Faculty of Medicine. She is the author of professional publications and lectures on the topic of treatment of patients at risk. She is a co-founder of the Sorriso dental clinic in Brno.
In her practice she focuses on preventive dentistry and pedostomatology. She also focuses on the treatment of uncooperative children.
