Through the optimal combination of wire dimension, wire material, and slot play the effi ciency of the straightwire appliance can be enhanced. The specifi c tasks in the different treatment phases require different wires to get the maximum out of the appliance system, no matter whether conventionally ligated or self-ligated brackets are used. Wire sequences will be presented that work effortlessly/comfortably to solve standard cases as well as to fi nd solutions for special tasks. No wonders, but wonderfully effi cient!
